  11. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

  13. To run Jigsaw for Windows, you need Windows 3.1 (tm), an industry-standard
  14. computer with a 80286 or higher CPU, a VGA or higher resolution display,
  15. and a mouse.

  41. INSTALLATION
  42. ------------
  43. To install this program, type:

  45.        INSTALL [source drive] [destination drive & directory]
  46.  
  47. For example,

  49.        INSTALL A: C:\JIGSAW

  51. To uncompress and install a single file, type:

  53.        EXPAND [source file] [destination file]

  57.        EXPAND A:\KITTY.JI_ C:\JIGSAW\KITTY.JIG

  59. RUNNING JIGSAW
  60. --------------
  61. To add the Jigsaw icon to the Program Manager, Select "New..." from the 
  62. "File" menu.  Choose "Program Item" and click OK.  Then use the browser
  63. to select file JIGSAW.EXE.

  65. To run Jigsaw, double-click on the Jigsaw icon.
  66.  
  67. You can also run Jigsaw using the "Run..." command from the Program Manager 
  68. "File" menu.

  70. PUZZLE FILES AND DISPLAYS
  71. -------------------------
  72. The puzzle files included on this disk are designed for use with VGA or
  73. VESA-compatible Super VGA displays.  The 256 color puzzles can be used
  74. on a VGA display, however a Super VGA is required to show the proper colors.

  76. If you have a VGA operating in 640x480 16-color mode, try the following 
  77. 16-color puzzle files:

  79.     CHEETAH.JIG, OPUS.JIG, LNDSCAPE.JIG, HUMBIRD.JIG, EIFFEL.JIG

  81. If you have a Super VGA operating in 640x480 256-color mode, try these
  82. 256-color puzzles:

  84.     BALLOONS.JIG, PIGS.JIG, MONALISA.JIG, EAGLE.JIG, CAROUSEL.JIG

  86. If your Super VGA uses the 1024x786 256-color mode, these puzzles are
  87. recommended:
